The mentorship of Jesus is above all. A very closer attention given to His teaching is the most reliable training to every believer!
Although Jesus is the Son of God; He relied on the Holy Spirit to fulfill God’s assignment dedicated to Him. He was committed and wrapped up in obedience until God’s perfect will was victoriously executed in His ministry on earth.
As long as we have resolved to subscribe to Christianity; not as a religion, but as the only way to eternal life; we must give up everything worldly, so that we can submit or concede to His exemplary life of perfect adequacy. That is what qualifies us to be enthroned with Him here on earth, and subsequently in heaven!
“The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.” (Is. 11:2).
“Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.” (Is. 42:1).
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To Preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound…” (Is 61:1)
Isaiah prophesied that the Holy Spirit was to be instrumental to the supernatural performance in the ministry of Jesus. And we are witnesses to these accounts in the Bible. His Fame Spread all over the regions of the world of His day. At a point in His lifetime, the people wanted to compel Him to become their king because they saw the power of God at work in His life. Well, it is possible in our time if we can display such characteristics of the Spirit filled believer; people can be attracted by the operation of the power of God in our ministries; they may be tempted to regard us as kings. We should consider it as divine privilege and not as show biz.
“…how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” (Ac. 10:38).
The intention of God’s empowerment to the church is for doing good works, and healing the oppressed from Satan’s bondage. That is the very nature of God’s dominion in our ministries. It is the Gospel of the Kingdom; and we should be the kings of the good tidings of good things. Amen!
When Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, the Jewish religious leaders were grieved because His signs and wonders were responsible for the conversion of their loyalists. Can you imagine, a dead person was brought to life; and someone is offended at it?
“Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said, “What shall we do? For this Man works many signs. If we let Him alone like this, everyone will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and nation.” (Jn. 11:46,47).
Jesus was gaining popularity at the detriment of their status quo affiliation to their Roman colonialists. The Gospel of the Kingdom by the Holy Ghost power seeks to overthrow or expel the formalities of religious traditions, rules and regulations of the order of the day. Every form of serious and aggressive Christian advancement; the radical zeal and cry for revival in the land becomes a threat to every established system which had turned subservient to the cosmic order.
We must, however remain righteously resolute to be like Jesus without compromise, and what our heavenly Father had purposed for the church shall come to pass, just like it is happening already. Amen.
We are confident that reading this book constantly will change, transform or modify your perspective of the reason for the Holy Spirit in the church and in one’s personal life. He was given to us freely for the purpose of preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom by example. Let us daily ensure the representation of the practical example of the lifestyle of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!
