There
are many misleading missionary doctrines in the church today. Missionary
mandates are categorized; there are focuses on different fields. Some say they
are called to the peasant villagers, while others had chosen the urban
ministries, and still yet, others go for prisons, refugee camps etc…
No
right thinking person will dispute with and despise these focuses. However,
there should be a very clear direction provided for by God’s Spirit as to the
approach to each of the mandates.
“But
the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will
teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to
you.” (Jn 14:26)
If
it were not by the Holy Ghost, it is certainly human imitation and so it is all
limitations; and the expected impact fails to materialize!
Jesus
commanded the believing church to "Go into all the world and preach the
gospel to every creature.” (Mk 16:15); “…make disciples of all the nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”
(Mt 28:19);
“But you shall receive power when the Holy
Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in
all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth”
