ACCESS INTO THE HOLY OF HOLIES

The significance of the veil torn into two during the crucifixion of Jesus Christ...

The size and thickness of the veil makes the events occurring at the moment of Jesus’ death on the cross so much more momentous.

“And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom” (Matthew 27:50-51a).

So, what do we make of this? What significance does this torn veil have for us today?

Above all, the tearing of the veil at the moment of Jesus' death dramatically symbolized that His sacrifice, the shedding of His own blood, was a sufficient atonement for sins.

It signified that now the way into the Holy of Holies was open for all people, for all time, both Jew and Gentile.

THE PURPOSE OF LIFE

It is by the extraordinary language from on high that we are able to bless and not to curse. Self or carnality does not accept such preposition. But if we must align with God’s will; His Word, we must resist the natural and ordinary talk lifestyle. A little practice can be of immense help here:

Righteousness is never impossible in our nation. We have many women of great virtue and decency in our city. Our police department is corrupt free. We foresee the next generation of non violence. Revival is already here, and it is starting with me. I behold the kingdom of heaven on earth.

The will of God is taking place in my life. I overcome evil with good. My light is shining everyday. Nothing is impossible with me, because I can do all things... I subject demons and evil spirits under my God’s ordained authority.

I heal the sick, cast out demons and raise the dead. I pray as I ought to pray, by the interceding power of the Holy Spirit... I behold life, and its abundance and power...

THE PURPOSE OF LIFE

Paul boldly told his listeners to imitate him just like he imitated Jesus. He proved his commitment of following the example of Christ at the point of the demise of a young man.

'Do not trouble yourselves, for his life is in him.’ What great example of faith declaration we must practice. This is what Isaiah meant when he declared his Messianic prophecy in Isaiah 61:3;

“To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”

That was exactly what Jesus did, and Paul emulated Him; the Church must never be an exception. We should never comply to the demonic pattern of horror where death is celebrated on TV and radio. Faith pleases God; we must always be determined to glorify Him by our faith conversation and action.

When Jesus heard of the sickness of Lazarus,
“…He said, ‘This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be, gloried through it." (Jn. 11:4) “Jesus said to her, 'Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God'?” (Jn.11:40).

Both God the Father and the Son are glorified when we exercise faith. Lazarus actually died, but because faith was at work; the appropriate utterance was made over the unhealthy and dead situation; it did not matter if Lazarus was dead for four days and was decomposing, he had to come back to life, and this act of confident speech in God glorified Him.

There is nothing greater in life Than for our lives’ faith expression to praise and honor God. Our ability to discover God’s purpose for our lives reminds us of the necessity to glorify God through the application of faith in all circumstances.

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

John the forerunner of the Christ clearly stated in
Mathew 3:11 “I indeed baptize you with the water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I … He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire."

I have noticed the sequence in the Holy Spirit's order of presenting Himself to us. First, we have Christ introduced in His conception and Birth, by the Holy Spirit and now we have Him being presented as the one who baptizes us with the Holy Spirit.

So the one whose arrival on the scene was by the Holy Spirit, He is the only qualified to introduce or intimate us into the Spirit's occupied life. Therefore, the way we relate with Jesus determines our union with the Holy Spirit.

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit in the Bible – JOB 26:13 “By the Spirit He adorned the heavens; His hand pierced the fleeing serpent.”

This confirms that the origin of creation was only possible by the Holy Spirit. The devil was overthrown and totally out-smarted when God finally sent His begotten so to save humanity and restore us to our original status of dominion over His creation. The Spirit of God is our only source of strength and renewal.

Job 33:4 “The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life,” (Note my comment above 26:13).
Our earthly and eternal survival is guaranteed by the Holy Spirit. Our life, ministry and everything m can choke into perpetual mess without Him. Let’s remain alive in Him! Amen.

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

Judges 13:25 “And the Spirit of the Lord began to move upon him (Samson) at Mahaneh Dan between Zorah and Estaol.

Judges 14:5 “And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him (Samson), and he tore the lion apart as one would have torn apart a young goat, though he had nothing in his hand…”

Judges 14:19 “Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon him (Samson) mightily, and he went down to Ashkelon and killed thirty of their (philistines) men …”

Judges 15:14 “… Then the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him (Samson); and the ropes that were on his arms became like flax that is burnt with fire, and his bonds broke loose from his hands…”

The Holy Spirit endued Samson with extraordinary strength to enable him perform incredibly. But Samson misappropriated God's favor and became selfish in his motives. God's plan was not fully perfected in his ministry.

You can do anything you want with God’s gift in your life. But one day you will be found guilty and accountable for all misdeeds.

THE PURPOSE OF LIFE

“But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you. “(Acts 26:16)

This is what was said to Paul when he was arrested by the Lord Jesus on his way to persecute the believers in Damascus. Before now, Paul’s life was victimized by his traditional Jewish background; he thought he was truly serving God.

But after the encounter with the Lord Jesus the story suddenly changed. His ministry became distinct because he sought to do the will of the Lord throughout his calling. When he was consecrated and set apart for God, he was on his own, but the One that called him never forsook him. So he did not lean on some one’s already-made ministry.
“...nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and returned again to Damascus. “(Gal. 1:17).

He was there for three years. Then he went to Peter in Jerusalem, but stayed with him for fifteen days only.

If we must make giant strides in ministry, even greater than Paul. one of the greatest apostle in history, (for with God nothing is virtually impossible) we must discover the mystery of seclusion and self imprisonment; denying ourselves of all manner of associations with men; keeping away from all popular activities or events that attract ordinary minds, becoming odd among peers. humbling oneself in fervent prayer and fasting.... until true identity and association is found with God.

Great Bible achievers, ranging from Noah, Moses, Elijah, Elisha, Hannah, David, Joseph, Daniel, Jeremiah, John the Baptist, Mary to Jesus and the apostles etc, were men and women who disregarded and despised manmade connections; but stood strictly committed their lives to God Almighty and by His Spirit’s anointing, excelled in ministry.

Our case in life and ministry is no exception. Putting so much confidence in men had caused many men and women. God’s own creation to slip off the path of purposeful living and made a shipwreck of the ministry of Christ in the Christian.

The One who saves; calls and ordains us into genuine ministry is God Himself through Christ Jesus by the power of the Holy Ghost. Why should we justify an ungodly approach of ministry orientations to Gods set standards’ May our faith never fail, as we seek to embrace the only alternative to active and effective Christ-like lifestyle and ministry by the power of the Holy Spirit’s anointing. AMEN!

THE PURPOSE OF LIFE

(From Obscurity to Reality)

The role of the Holy Spirit in the ministry of every believer can never be toyed around. The more the church only pay lip service to the Person of the Spirit of God, the more fake power operatives encroach among well intended faithful ones.

What is the church doing building hospitals, universities, cathedrals and a host of other edifices (Mt 24:1,2), when all are expected to heal the sick, cast out demons, cleanse the lepers and raise the dead and generally advance God’s Kingdom by the power of the Holy Spirit? (Mt. 10: 1,7-8) Why should we be limiting God’s power in our midst by taking to failing and frustrating shortcuts concerning problems that constantly torment our people?

If the world settings had failed in providing the answers o these basic human necessities; why the continued imitation of limitations and setbacks; seeking solutions from the world’s governments whose wisdoms are continually turning into endless futility? (l Cor. 2:6) Why don’t we just humbly accept the words of Jesus our Lord and Saviour to receive power as the Holy Spirit becomes the preoccupation of our Christian faith and service’(Ac 1:8, Ps. 50).

The apostles set the first Christ-like example for us immediately they had an encounter with God by His Spirit in the name of Jesus on the day of Pentecost. Who could have doubted such divine abilities and guts?

Listen to what the contenders with the apostles noticed: Acts 4:13 “ Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus” .NKJV

THE PURPOSE OF LIFE

 The Kingdom at Hand:
“And as ye go, preach, saying, the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
(Mt 10:7) And also: Mt. 3:2; 4:17; Lk. 9:2; 10:9

In other words, the kingdom is near or yet, the kingdom is already here. The activities that accompany kingdom enforcement express great exertion of power. That is, the very expression of its reality.
“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast Out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” (Mt.10:8)
And so the prayer point;

‘Oh Lord, Let me behold the very presence and glory of Your kingdom in my life and ministry so that I can do what is expected of me in the kingdom service in Jesus Name. Amen’

The Qualities of the Kingdom’s Heirs:
The king controls or takes charge of a kingdom. That is what we are in God’s kingdom arrangement.
“Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. “(Mt.5:3,5) “And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, blessed be ye poor: for yours Is the kingdom of God. “Lk.6:20).

And also: 37:1 1; Ro. 4:13
If a king does not know anything about his domain or his area of jurisdiction or his territorial dominion, such a king is likely to flout with legal power and definitely fail to dispense or exercise the appropriate leadership qualities expected of him.
In the kingdom of God’s dispensation, great leadership qualities are exhibited in the heirs’ humility and submissiveness to God’s instructions in the Bible. When we have assurance of self denial: seeking to do the will of God than our selfish motives, we stand to exert our heavenly ordained authority over all things.

So let us pray as follows:
‘Oh Lord, help mc to discover true humility and its blessing so that I can truly allow your grace to fully operate through me and for me to be suitable for the kingdom inheritance in Jesus’ Name. Amen’

THE PURPOSE OF LIFE

Deborah was God’s appointed prophetess of the hour. It appeared that Barak was not capable. But the truth is, he was not purposeful enough for the task. Every one of us has an intended task to fulfill in life according to God’s eternal purpose. Each of us must discover His plan and remain resolutely focused on that plan until it is perfectly done.

Deborah agreed to go with Barak because she was the woman of the hour. That is not to say that Barak was neither relevant. Women are hereby challenged to raise their heads, shoulders and voices high to become instrumental to make extraordinary difference according to God's will in our time.

“Then Deborah said to Barak, ‘Up! For this is the day in which the LORD has delivered Sisera into your hand. Has not the LORD gone out before you?’ So Barak went down from Mount Tabor with ten thousand men following him. And the LORD routed Sisera and all his chariots and all his army with the edge of the sword before Barak; and Sisera alighted from his chariot and fled away on foot.” (Jg.4:14- 15).

Through the prophetic and courageous words of this woman of faith, Barak had an overwhelming victory over the enemy of God’s people. For further reading, consider the testimonies of these notable women of purpose in the Bible.
1. Ruth - The woman of resolved consistence (Ruth 1:16)
2. Hannah - The travailing and ideal mother of faith (l Sa 1:19,20)
3. Abigail- The wise and capable woman (1 Sa. 25:3)
4. Shunanmite- The sensitively hospitable woman (2 Ki. 4:8-10)
5. Esther - The committed self-sacrificing woman (Es. 4: 16)
6. Syrophenician- The woman of faith (Mt. 15:28)
7. Magdalene - The generous and transformed woman (Mk. 16:1,9)
8. Elisabeth -The woman of patience and humility (Lk. 1:43)
9. Mary - The woman of chastity and chosen of God (Lk. 1:30-38)
10. Mary of Bethany- The woman of rare and focused choices (Lk. 10:42)
11. The Samaritan Woman Evangelist (Jn. 4:29)
12. Dorcas - The benevolent charity worker (Acts 9:36)
13. Lydia - The business and hospitable woman (Acts16:14, 15)

THE PURPOSE OF LIFE

If the thousands of believers who troop into the various respective ministries were able to find out what God had purposed for them in life, and were ready to comply to God’s instructions, what a great multitude of profound, distinct and reliable stewards of purposeful ministry there shall be!

The ministers concerned should be bold enough to teach their congregations to discover God’s plan for their lives; and be prepared to let them find access to Him who personally calls, ordains and consecrates us individually into our various intended missionary fields; and this does not necessarily imply to serve God in an ecclesiastical setting as it is the campaign today.

Many are counting on their fellow men to hire them into the ministry; they want a monthly salary like it is done in the secular organizations Well, as the wise saying goes; “He who pays the piper, dictates the tune.” The minister becomes greatly loyal to their ‘superiors’ than to God. So when the monthly salary fails, they cry not to God, but to their employer!

I have heard a number of people murmur and worry because the church organization had treated them unfairly. One wonders when such workers will make the needed impact in the society as it is expected of them to do. It does not matter where you are located in ministry; you should succeed in discovering your God’s given potential and talents or giftedness so that you can perfectly fit into His eternal plan and purpose in life and calling even within a system (Dan 1:8).

One should never exhibit false loyalty just because of earthly benefits. “Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.” (Jn.6:27).

Whenever men cling to man-made systems, they eventually get tired and consequently they are retired. If they had sought for food like our Master did;  “But He said to them, ‘I have food to eat of which you do not know.’
Jesus said to them, ‘My food is to do the will of him who sent Me, and to finish His work.”’(Jn. 4:32,34.).

DEVILISH TRANSLATION ERRORS

It is definitely Satan's agenda to turn the Bible into a big falsified document! Can you imagine the changes already found in many translations?

What can you say about this?
Is this translation justified?
Bible Society of Nigeria should take note!

"And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man."
(1 Samuel 10:6) KJV

Compare

1 SAM 10:6 "Sa'an nan Ruhun Ubangiji zai sauko maka, za ka kuwa yi rawa da sowa tare da su, za ka zama wani mutum dabam."
(Hausa Sabon Juyi)

I found so many of such devilish errors in the New Hausa Translation when working on my booklet "Everyday With The Holy Spirit"

WORDS OF CAUTION TO THE CHURCH: Matt 24:1-3
“...and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” NKJV

Beware of the temptation of giant structural developments; pay very close attention to souls with God’s supply at your disposal!

Never lose sight of the Lords Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20. Remain focused to the extraordinary ministry Jesus gave us. Conventional or traditional Evangelism had turned the ‘church into a club and another religion.

Matt 10:28
“Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” (NLT)
It is high time we resorted to trusting God and stop the fear of ordinary mortals. Ordinary security agencies are only meant for fearful ordinary humans; while the Church represents a supernatural government of God Almighty. Our Master did not behave timidly at His arrest and journey to the cross. Please let the angels do the work if we truly arc committed to GOD!

THE PURPOSE OF LIFE

CHAPTER SEVEN
THE NECESSARY ROLE OF THE HOLY GHOST
“Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Hint, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. “(Acts 1:64) NKJV

These were the Lord's final words to His disciples. The only best He could place into their hands was the assurance of the fulfillment of an everlasting or enduring promise of the Holy Spirit who would be the guide to all genuine Christian living. He had mentioned this to them in John “Because I have said these things, you are filled with grief. But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.”

Although they were still being held bound and ruled by the earthly orientations; being obsessed by the material or worldly possessions and man-made approach about life, they curiously asked; “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” However, understanding their limitations of divine arrangements and provisions, (just like many of us are facing the same challenge today).

Jesus drew their attention to the greatest earthly and eternal necessity of life; “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me...”As for God, to His people, His greatest provision for us is to be blessed, ruled or controlled by the Holy Spirit. In fact He considers this as the topmost priority that can never be compromised or replaced by any of the best of earthly blessing or achievement.

But the greatest mistake humanity had faced throughout decades had been to listen to contrary and misleading voices. It was the same problem that made the first created humans to fall into the terrible sin of rebellion against God (Gen 3); which all of us had suffered its spill over (Rom 5:15.17).

But still, because of Jesus Christ, there is great hope; by the wonderful intervention of God through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can all return to Him in faith and overcome the tricks of Satan over and against God’s purposes for our lives.
