EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (29)

The Holy Spirit in the Bible – MARK
Most of the account of the gospel writers on the Holy Spirit bears the same message. It will not be necessary to comment on verses with such similarity. However the reader is advised to read through the verses without being bored, make it an interesting exercise!

Mark1:8 “I indeed baptize you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.” (Mathew 3:11).

Mark 1:10 “And immediately, coming up from the water, He saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending upon Him like a dove” Mark 1:12 “Immediately the Spirit drove Him into the wilderness.” (Mathew3:16 and 14).
Mark 3:29 “...but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit:  never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation” (Mathew 12:28-32).

Mark 12:36 “For David himself said by the Holy Spirit: 'The Lord said to my Lord, sit at my right hand, till I make your enemies your footstool.” (Mathew 22:43).

Mark 13:11 “But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry before hand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.” (Mathew 10:20).

THE PURPOSE OF LIFE

CHAPTER SIX
THE PLACE OF BEING ALONE
"So the child grew and became strong in Spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his manifestation to Israel" (Lu1:80) Every believer’s hour of manifestation; the only attainable divine appearance; reality and perfect fulfillment in us to the present day generation requires getting lost in the wilderness or deserts.

John the Baptist is an exceptional example for the present day ecclesia to emulate if our prayer to save our nations should prevail over all drifted spirituality or self made Christianity. The early stage of ones Christian life is likened to childhood, which must be accompanied with growth and characterized by spiritual strength. This kind of growth and strength would demand seclusion from the usual or traditional formalities of ordinary life.

The solitary confinements can work to bring one to the expected hour of presentation, attainment, record setting and manifestation. This will however require a very high degree of determination, focus, diligence, discipline, self-restrain, patience and forbearance. John the Baptist’s assignment was that of a forerunner, and yet he had to follow the process and pattern of becoming a power manifestation as evident in the initial ministry of the Lord Jesus.

“And the Child grew and became strong in Spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.”
“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” (Lk. 2:40,52)  As a child Jesus grew, became spiritually strong, increased in wisdom and in the endowment of grace. These continued steadily in His life until the time of His manifestation. His ministry was remarkably characterized by a consistent commitment to prayer: The following testimonies in the gospels attest to that.

“Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place and there He prayed. (Mk. 1:35). “Now when it was day, He departed and went into a deserted place. And the crowd sought Him and came to Him, and tried to keep Him from leaving them;” (Lk.4:42). “And when He had sent them away, He departed to the mountain to pray. “Mk. 6:46, However, the report went around concerning Him all the more; arid great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by Him of their infirmities.” (Lk.5: 15) And also: Mt. 4:25; Mk. 3:7; Jn. 6:2 “So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed. (Lk.5:16) And also: Mt 14:23; Mr 6:46.

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (28)

Baffle! The coming of God Almighty among humans by Christ Jesus and through all believers is a deadly confrontation to satanic agencies... Walk in your liberty as one of the only born of God!

The Holy Spirit in the Bible – MATHEW
1:18, 20 “Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows:
After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, and before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.(vs. 18).
Joseph did not know this, so “was minded to put her away secretly”(vs.19).
“But while he thought about these things, behold, and angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, and saying, '….Do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.”

You see? The eternal purpose of God to send into the world a Savior was impossible without the Holy Spirit. Out of nothing the Holy Spirit brings forth the Super Character named Jesus.

There is no better way of
starting the New Testament good news of the Holy Spirit than this. This forms the strongest eagle wings that will transport us into the rest of the New Testament. Let us carry on with the Holy Spirit...

THE PURPOSE OF LIFE

CHAPTER FIVE
PURPOSE OF PRAYER IMPORTUNITY
We find access into a deep consciousness of the God-kind of knowledge when our spiritual sensitivity rises to the expected God-directed level. This knowledge reminds us of our kingdom responsibility; knowing fully well that God handed to us the power or authority to manage the affairs of His entire creation. Our desire to fulfill kingdom responsibility will therefore be aroused by an intense urge to pray, the point is; kingdom responsibility will never get accomplished without making prayer a lifestyle.

Prayer ceases to remain a religious routine or rite. It becomes a serious godly affair that must never be meddled with earthly work. Prayer serves as the power house where faith is generated. In essence, if one’s kingdom’s call (that is standing in the place or capacity of God through Christ
Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit to run or administer the affairs of His entire creation) must be actualized; prayer must remain an imperative force.

The concern for a radical approach to fulfill our kingdom responsibility had prompted the compilation of the prayer and intercessory indicators below:

1. The Kingdom Perception
“And he said unto them, Verily 1 say unto you, that there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power. “(Mk. 9:1)

It is not possible for the believer to know how to fully or perfectly function in the kingdom of God without having its glimpse. Having a very clear knowledge and understanding of God and His Kingdom perspective drives the believer into a life time search to be like Him and rule alongside with Him; advancing and enforcing God’s kingdom principles over His entire creation. And so the prayer point...

2. The Kingdom at Hand
“And as ye go, preach, saying, the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
(Mt 10:7) And also: Mt. 3:2; 4:17; Lk. 9:2; 10:9

In other words, the kingdom is near or yet, the kingdom is already here. The activities that accompany kingdom enforcement express great exertion of power. That is, the very expression of its reality.
“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast Out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” (Mt.10:8)
And so the prayer point;

‘Oh Lord, Let me behold the very presence and glory of Your kingdom in my life and ministry so that I can do what is expected of me in the Kingdom service in Jesus Name. Amen’

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (27)

The Holy Spirit in the Bible – ZECHARIAH
4:6 “…This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: not by might nor by power but by my Spirit, says the Lord.” Let me simply comment here: nothing ever takes the place of the Holy Spirit; in other words there is no substitute for Him!

Zechariah 12:10 “And I will pour on the house of David, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication, then they will look on me whom they pierced….” This happens to be the last verse on the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament. The function of the Holy Spirit here is that of causing Gods people to acknowledge the one they hated to the point of death.

People’s rejection of the truth never stops His Spirits promptings and probe into their lives, until some day the wind of change becomes inevitable. Lord, help us by your ever abiding Spirit to win souls and make disciples of all nations in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

THE PURPOSE OF LIFE

CHAPTER FOUR
THE GODLY UTTERANCE
“Also it shall be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write for himself a copy of this law in a book, from the one before the priests, the Levites. And  it shall be with hint, and he shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the LORD his God and be careful to observe all the words of this law and these statutes, that his heart may not he Lifted above his brethren, that he may not turn aside from the commandment to the right hand or to the left, and that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his children in the midst of Israel. (Dent. 17:18-19)

“Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." (Josh. 1:7,8)

“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in his law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.” (Ps. 1:1-3).

When God’s people resort to their heavenly language, you can be rest assured of heavenly results manifesting on the planet earth. For the will of God to be done on earth as it is in Heaven, the language of the Spirit’s new creation must be put into real practice. We are not talking about ‘church as usual’ lip service to the Bible. It is the dispensation of the reality of born again species whose faith-released utterance is accompanied with substantial and undisputable evidences.

It is God’s upbringing of a generation of the genuine kingdom principles whose lifestyle will cause the counterfeit power to take its place at the footstool. Our tongues’ expression had found conformity with the divine.

Our imitation of the Master of the universe by our new found faith declaration is giving the earth a new face. We are confident in our Biblical faith conversation such that righteousness is defeating evil; the darkness of’ the world can no longer comprehend our shining light; holiness and not morality is getting over filth and all sinfulness.

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (26)

November 26 the Holy Spirit's promise is working in our situations moment by moment according to our faith....

The Holy Spirit in the Bible – HAGGAI
2:5 “According to the word that I covenanted with you when you come out of Egypt, so my Spirit remains among you; do not fear.”
To be frank, when I come across a scripture like this one, I admit my fallacious stand point about the Holy Spirit! Lets just pray that His mercy endures forever, and let Him guide us into all truth in Jesus' name. Amen.

You see, that distant Egypt covenant, still makes the ever abiding presence of the Holy Spirit relevant in our time. Did I hear you say, “What about the Blood and new covenant in Christ?” Yes, it is a greater enforcement and fulfillment.

Let us keep drinking from His non-stop fountain, so that “out of our belly (hearts) shall flow rivers of living water” (Jn. 7:39). Let me not forget, with the Holy Spirit ever increasing intimacy, FEAR IS RULED out of our lives! Amen!

THE PURPOSE OF LIFE

CHAPTER THREE
THE CHURCH’S THRESHOLD AND CONSUMMATION

“...Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come.”(Fs. 71:18).

Now, the hour has come for the Lord Jesus to make Himself known to the nations of the world. Many members of the community of believers may never hear the sound of great shaking; however, the faithful are already partaking in an unprecedented spiritual explosion that is terrifying to the cosmic order.
“See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape If we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, ‘Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.’ this, ‘Yet once more’ indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire.” (Heb. 12:25-29).

The recent unfolding in world events indicates the undisputable fulfillment of Bible prophecies. The unbelievers, that’s people without Christ, whether in the disobedient church or in the heathen world; (there is no difference), are experiencing an era of turbulence. Refusal to accept the salvation plan of God through Christ Jesus has become a terrifying phenomenon to the rebellious peoples of the world. We are drawing much closer to the season of a great restoration to the community of believers; a mighty revival is already taking place. It is only those who insist to remain righteous that are conscious of this end time move of the Spirit.

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (24)

November 24 affirms all possibilities by the power of the Holy Spirit; He is not restricted under no circumstances....

The Holy Spirit in the Bible – MICAH
2:7 “You who are named the house of Jacob: Is the Spirit of the Lord restricted? Are these His doings? Do not my words do good to him who walk uprightly?”
A million dollar question and a resounding one of the millennium! “Is the spirit of the Lord restricted?” Never! He remains very actively relevant to those who are ready to be committed to His relentless friendship.

Micah 3:8 “But truly I am full of power by the Spirit of the Lord, and of justice and might, to declare to Jacob his transgression and to Israel."
One is reminded of the words of Jesus “but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you …” (Acts 1:8). What follows is the pronouncement and witness about the Way, Truth and Life. The abominable atrocities among believers (churches) and society today must be pronounced, arrested and sentenced to perpetual silence in Jesus' name. Amen.

THE PURPOSE OF LIFE

CHAPTER TWO
REALIZING GOD’S POTENTIAL WITHIN
Lack of realizing God’s given inner potential deprives a person from having the desire and ambition to succeed in life. Such deprivation can also subject a person to a lifestyle that is only obtainable from environmental and circumstantial influences. Many people have ended up in life as victims of circumstances rather than fulfilling their actual dreams and or aspirations.

What does it take to realize ones inner potentials or possibilities? We all need some kind of inspiration as a result of creative awareness, this is only given to people who can submissively humble themselves to be instructed; those who are ready to learn and keep learning. People who are filled with pride are always full of themselves; self controls them and they can hardly desire to improve upon their present estate. They end up living in their predicaments and woes!

Let us consider the testimonies of some Bible characters. Apostle James spoke of Elijah;
“Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.” (James 5:17)

Elijah or any great man and woman of God are people ‘with a nature like ours’ and yet they excelled in their God’s given assignments. Every one of us is recreated with the supernatural potential embedded in us. The moment we were born again, it implied an entrance into a new nature; Gods very nature. We can accomplish or succeed in life beyond our natural abilities.

So, even as you read this book, our expectation is for you to be stirred up into a higher consciousness to receive the Holy Spirit’s wisdom and knowledge to do the extraordinary in life. There are many great and marvelous works that have been left undone. But God’s people have preferred the ordinary to the supernatural. And so they have concluded to live within the perspective of impossibilities.

It must not continue to be that way. If people of a nature like ours were able to venture into highly prospective ministries, our places of accomplishing great works are still waiting for us to occupy them.

The Holy Spirit in the Bible – JOEL
2:28-29 “And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also on my men servants on my maidservants I will pour out my Spirit in those days.”

The promise of the Holy Spirit's out pour is already fulfilled. We are now enjoying His overflowing gifts, diversities of activities, ministry fruit bearing and inexhaustible blessings.

But ignorance and rebellion have deprived many from these kingdom rights (1Cor 12). My mustard seed faith answered prayer is that as you read these verses, you will be miraculously exempted from such depravity in Jesus name. Amen!

THE PURPOSE OF LIFE

Be encouraged to read this booklet on this link. Your entire life will find direction to God's call...

CHAPTER ONE
PURPOSEFUL MINISTRY
There must be a deliberate emphasis on creating awareness (not to continue with an attitude of making people look or behave like us), but to make people take a close look at their Creator — GOD, with a clear purpose of knowing Him and His eternal or original plan for each of us.

This means, that individuals, families, communities, and nations were originally created or made for distinct purposes and intentions. God does not engage on haphazard plans about His entire creation. Everything He made was decisively intended to achieve an eternal mission for His glory.

And every one of us is expected to be instrumental to the fulfillment of divine purpose. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Eph 2:10);
For Additional Reading: Gen 1:26; De. 32:6; Ps 100:3; Is 19:25; 29:23; 44:21; Jn. 3:3,5; 1Cor3:9;2Co5:5,17;Eph1:4;4:24;Tit 2:14.

In general terms, according to Genesis 1:26, God made man for the purpose of taking absolute charge of His wonderful creation; “Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth “(Gen 1:28). And throughout the long history of humanity, His plan for mankind to accomplish this purpose had remained His focus.

This was conclusively perfected in His Son Jesus Christ. John the beloved in his testimony about the Lord Jesus clearly stated;“He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. “(1Jn.3:8)

The purpose for which the Son of God was manifested is to destroy the works of Satan; whose wicked plan had remained the aversion and distortion of man’s focus from his Creator. In other words, Jesus came to rule or exert authority over Satan and his wicked reign or kingdom over God’s creation. The Lord Jesus Himself at the concluding part of His earthly ministry declared to the Father; “I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished he work which You have given Me to do."

John 17:4. From our study of this scripture, it is evident that the Lord did what the Father had purposed for His life and ministry on earth. And He in turn handed over to the believers the task of God’s kingdom expansion. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father." (Jn. 14:12).

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (22)

November 22 says, "Let the Holy Spirit enter your life fully; great work is pending on your earthly schedule..."

The Holy Spirit in the bible – EZEKIEL
2:2 “Then the Spirit entered me when He spoke to me and set my feet and I heard Him who spoke to me…” You can know the entrance of the Spirit into you; you can hear Him speak to you; and you can know what He does with you “set me on my feet”. All these were necessary to Ezekiel for the work God had assigned him to do (Read verses 3-10).

Ezekiel 3:12 “The Spirit lifted me up, and I hear behind me a great thunderous voice: Blessed is the glory of the Lord from His place.” You can know the lifting up by the Spirit, hear the frightening sound of His voice, He declares the blessing of His glory.

Ezekiel 3:14 “So the Spirit lifted me up and took me away and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the Lord was strong upon me.”
The Holy Ghost lifted Ezekiel up, took him away from where he was to a destination (Vs. 15).
You may feel the tension and anxiety of the human spirit within, but as long as the strong hand of the Lord remains on you, your mission must be accomplished. Amen!

Ezekiel 3:24 “Then the Spirit entered me and set me on my feet, and spoke to me and said to me: 'Go, shut yourself inside your home." Ezekiel repeats the process of the dealing of the Spirit with him, but here there is an additional commitment assigned for him to do; to shut himself in the house.

This could be the same Holy Spirit message for you now, you might have been roaming and lingering about in despair and hopelessness. Do it now, do not procrastinate any longer. Sure He is talking to you right now!

THE PURPOSE OF LIFE - BY
BROTHER MATTHEW ARIN ADAMS

INTRODUCTION
We have often times abandoned our God’s intended position in life by submitting to influences and orientations of the men and the world. Contrary to divine provisions; what we could have gained from the Holy Spirit’s direction and encounter, the enemy’s bait had hooked many into regrets and subsequent eternal damnation!

In other words, we can be ruled by ordinary fellow men; people of our own very likeness; our ordinary kinsmen; school mates; work or business colleagues; religious doctrines; teachers and a host of man-made orientations.

Many because of lack of same direction and or guidance had become victims of circumstances; living this life only subject to what their immediate environment had suggested to and provided for them. Certainly, this is the cause of the deplorable negative affects over one’s entire existence and journey into divine destiny; the kind of life God had intended or purposed for us.

For many of us, if there was another opportunity, we would like to start this life all over again. But alas, this cannot happen! The only hope is for all of us to begin an outright rejection of human and or circumstantial influences over our lives and quickly begin

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (21)

Isaiah 61:1 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor, He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound …” The pattern of the ministry of Jesus is hereby prophesied, and fulfilled by Christ’s personal declaration (Luke 4:18). It was by the Holy Spirit that the ministry of Jesus was inaugurated and carried on. What ministry can succeed without this pattern and approach? None! Hence the unavoidable necessity to return to Christ like pattern of ministry.

Isaiah 63:10 “But they rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit; so He turned Himself against them as an enemy, and He fought against them.” Should this not be frightening to believers of our day? To rebel against and grieve the Holy Spirit is tantamount to forfeiting divine protection and making God himself to act as an enemy to us. We should not allow God Himself to fight against us because of our deliberate neglect of the Holy Spirits guidance and instruction.

God lays much emphasis on our relationship with the Holy Spirit for His irreplaceable role in our various personal and cooperate service. No wonder, blasphemy against Him is unpardonable. We must develop and protect the integrity of our friendship with Him in Jesus' Name. Amen.

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (20)

November 20 declares “Woe to the rebellious children…, who take counsel, but not of me; and who devise plans, but not of my Spirit, that they may add sin to sin”. (Is 30:1)

The Holy Spirit in the Bible – ISAIAH
11:2 “The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him (the Messiah), the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.” Isaiah’s prophesy by the Holy Spirit was about Christ the King. Its fulfillment can never be disputed in the Spirit-filled believers!

Isaiah 30:1 “Woe to the rebellious children…, who take counsel, but not of me; and who devise plans, but not of my Spirit, that they may add sin to sin”. Every plan made and executed without the Spirits initial involvement stands to be regretted. Let us not keep Him out of our plans. We must always remember to ask, ‘what is the Lord saying?' before we embark on a project!

Isaiah 32:15 “Until the spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field. And the fruitful field is counted as a forest.”
What supernatural undertaking by the Holy Spirit.

When we seem to run out of
hope in every regard once the Spirit of God comes upon us, the situation must change for us, until we “show His strength to this generation and His power to everyone that is to come” (Ps. 71:18).

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (19)

November 19 launches us into a peculiar Holy Ghost experience, our unreserved permission to have Him rule, guide, comfort, help, intercede etc is perfectly fulfilled in Jesus Name...

The Holy Spirit in the Bible – PSALMS
51:11“Do not cast me away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me”
Psalms 51:12 “Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me by your generous Spirit.” David’s prayer about the indwelling Spirit in these verses had been fulfilled for the present day believer by the promises of Christ in John 14:16; that the Spirit would “abide with you forever”.

We should continue to enjoy His indwelling presence and His upholding, as we resist every temptation to grieve and/or quench Him. Let us maintain the prayer; “the grace of the Lord, the love of God and the communion of the Holy Spirit abide with us now and evermore. Amen.”

Psalms 104:30 “You send forth your Spirit, they are created; and you renew the face of the earth.” The Holy Spirit of creation, and still in the same operation.  Sticking to Him renews everything about us constantly.

Psalms 139:7 “Where can I go from your Spirit? Or where can I flee from your presence?”
David was not wondering about the Holy Spirit he knew that God Himself  was every where all at the same time.

These verses 7-12 take care of a wandering soul who is not acquainted with the Spirits companionship everywhere he goes. Read these verses 7-12 over and over until the Spirits knowledge if fully active in our lives. Amen!

Psalms 143:10 “Teach me to do your will, for you are my God: your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.” How can David ever forget about the goodness of the Spirit of the Lord who was upon him since the day he was anointed by Prophet Samuel.

The life of David to some extend exhibited this understanding. He loved the enemy of his soul even when he had the opportunity to retaliate. (1sam. 16:13; 26:7-9). we have never been deprived of Gods goodness by His Spirit;

We should reciprocate such great favor by allowing Him to undertake the kingdom business through our lives of submission to Him always.

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (18)

The Holy Spirit in the Bible – JOB
26:13 “By the Spirit He adorned the heavens; His hand pierced the fleeing serpent.” This confirms that the origin of creation was only possible by the Holy Spirit. The devil was overthrown and totally outsmarted when God finally sent His begotten Son to save humanity and restore us to our original position of dominion over His creation. The Spirit of God is our only source of strength and renewal.

Job 33:4 “The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life,” (Note my comment above 26:13).
Our earthly and eternal survival is guaranteed by the work of Holy Spirit. Our life can choke into perpetual silence without Him. Let’s remain alive in Him! Amen.

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (17)

The Holy Spirit in the Bible – NEHEMIAH
9:20 “You also gave your good Spirit to instruct them, and did not withhold your manna from their mouth, and gave them water for their thirst.” Wow! The provision for food, water, clothes, health and sustenance of bountiful life even in the wilderness situation can always be adequately catered for by the Holy Spirit.

“They lacked nothing …” (v21).
The Holy Spirits instruction or teaching is vital in every life’s endeavor. For unfailing and sustainable divine perfection, we must love and need Him every day. (Jn. 14:26).

Nehemiah 9:30 “Yet for many years you had patience with them, and testified against them by the Holy Spirit in your prophets. Yet they would not listen….” Here is where judgment is tempered with mercy; if insistent prophetic warnings by the Holy Spirit are not adhered to, God's people become vulnerable to self, sin, death and the devil. (Verses 30-31).
May the present day believer (church) strictly adhere to the open revelations by the Holy Spirit through the chosen men of God in order to avert the on-going irritating apostasy among Gods people. Amen.

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (16)

The Holy Spirit in the Bible – 1CHRONICLES
12:18 “Then the Spirit came upon Amasai, chief of the captains, and he said: We are yours, O David; we are on your side, o son of Jesse!” Loyalty and submission are the Spirit's attributes in the believer’s life. We must exhibit same in our Christian character. With the Holy Spirit, there is no place for betrayal!

1 Chronicles 28:12 “…and the plans for all that he (David) had by the Spirit, of the house of the Lord, of all the chambers all around, of the treasures of the house of God, and all the treasuries of the dedicated things…” The Holy Spirit gave the plans to David for everything about the temple which Solomon his son would build. That was a physical structure and arrangement. What plans have the present day believer received from the Holy Spirit about the spiritual temple which we are!

2 Chronicles 20:14 “then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jahaziel the son of Zachariah … in the midst of the assembly”.
This was also for a specific message to the king of Judah, Jehoshaphat, “Do not be afraid nor dismay because of the great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but Gods.”(Vs.15)
What encouragement, only by the Holy Spirit can such powerful pronouncement be made. Holy Spirit, our Helper, do your work in our lives in like manner, in the name of Jesus. Amen!

2 Chronicles 24:20 “Then the Spirit of God came upon Zachariah the son of Jehoiada, the priest who stood above the people, and said to them … Because you have forsaken the Lord, He also has forsaken you.” It is only by the Spirit prompting that the man of God can speak with such boldness to condemn the waywardness of a people. Let no human right activist and politicians take your place as the prophet of God!

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (15)

November 15 declares your faith confidence, what you say is done in Jesus Name.

The Holy Spirit in the Bible – 1KINGS
18:12 “And it shall come to pass, as soon as I (Obadiah) am gone from you (Elijah), that the Spirit of the Lord will carry you to a place I do not know; so when I go and tell Ahab, and he cannot find you, he will kill me …”

Obadiah knew the dealings of the Spirit of God in the ministry of the prophet, like the wind that blows, were it is coming and going no one can tell (Jn. 3:). As we desire to allow the Holy Spirit indwell us, no one should be able to predict our movement in life except Him alone!

2 Kings 2:16 "…Please let them go and search for your master (Elijah) less perhaps the Spirit of the Lord has taken him up and cast him upon some mountain or valley." And he (Elisha) said, 'You shall not send any one.'" It seems the sons of the prophets were still immature students or they were rather mocking Elisha. One wonders how they can think of the Holy Spirit “taken up and cast” Elijah upon some dangerous places.

Many believers have little or no knowledge of the Holy Spirit and can say anything that does not benefit His Personality. There is always room for learning when it comes to Spiritual things.

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (14)

The Holy Spirit in the Bible – 1SAMUEL
10:6 “Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you (Saul), and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man”.
1 Samuel 10:9 “So it was, when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, that God gave him (Saul) another heart; and all those signs came to pass that day."
1 Samuel 10:10 “When they came there to the hill, there was a group of prophets to meet him; then the Spirit of God came upon him (Saul), and he prophesied among them."

The making of the king and prophet, only possible through the dealing by the Holy Spirit.
1 Samuel 11:6 “Then the Spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard this news, and his anger aroused.” When the Holy Spirit stirs up anger in us, we do not act foolishly. Our action leads us to victory over unbearable situations.

1 Samuel 16:13 “Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him (David) in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward.”
The choice of David as the king of Israel was by the Spirit of the Lord. Our continued consciousness and sensitivity of the Holy Spirit can set us on kingly levels, even among our peers. By the Spirit, we are expected to rule together with Christ.

1 Samuel 16:14 “But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and a distressing Spirit (disturbing spirit) from the Lord troubled him.”
We should not allow the Spirit of God depart from us, for such an action can warrant divine permission for the contrary spirits to find access into one’s life. (Jn. 12:43-45).

1 Samuel 19:20  "Then Saul sent messengers to take David. And when they saw the group of prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as leader over them, the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied” (Read Verses 20-23).
1 Samuel 19:23 “… then the Spirit of God was upon him (Saul) also, and he went on and prophesied until he came to Naioth in Ramah." The struggle Saul had against David was unnecessary. Taking a look at Samuel and the group of prophets made the messengers and Saul to submit to the Holy Spirit who was in charge of the operation at hand. But king Saul ended up stripped naked all day and night under the Holy Ghost charge. What trouble they cause themselves, those who try to persecute Spirit-filled believers!

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (13)

November 13, The Holy Spirit prompts all victories in our calling. We must intensify our desire to have Him carry out the work through us!

The Holy Spirit in the Bible – JUDGES
3:10   “The Spirit of the Lord came upon him (Othniel) and he judged Israel. He went out to war, and the Lord delivered Cushan-Rishathaim king of Mesopatamia into his hand: and his hand prevailed over Cushan-Rishathaim.”
For good judgment to Israel and great victory in war, Othniel relied on what the Holy Spirit could do in his life. We should imitate Othniel life style for good success in every area of our lives. Amen!

Judges 6:34 “but the Spirit of the Lord came upon Gideon; then he blew the trumpet and the Abiezrites gather behind him.” There was a great battle set by “the people of the East” (Vs. 33). Prompted and strengthened by the Spirit of the Lord, Gideon blew the trumpet, it sounded supernaturally that it gathered divine support behind him. Note the victory Gideon had over Midianites with only three hundred soldiers (judges 7). May we rely on the prompting and strength of the Holy Spirit to use any instrument (trumpet) of support against the enemies of our lives and calling. Amen.

Judges 11:29  "Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah, and he passed through Gilead and Manasseh, and passed through Mizpah of Gilead to advance toward the people of Ammon." Jephthah did not have to make a vow to the Lord (vs.30), after the Holy Spirit had come upon him to achieve Gods task before him. The tragic vow led to the loss of his only daughter. The Holy Spirit guarantees our victories, vows may not be necessary.

Judges 13:25 “And the Spirit of the Lord began to move upon him (Samson) at Mahaneh Dan between Zorah and Estaol.
Judges 14:5 “And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him (Samson), and he tore the lion apart as one would have torn apart a young goat, though he had nothing in his hand…”
Judges 14:19 “Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon him (Samson) mightily, and he went down to Ashkelon and killed thirty of their (philistines) men"
Judges 15:14 “…Then the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him (Samson); and the ropes that were on his arms became like flax that is burnt with fire, and his bonds broke loose from his hands…”

The Holy Spirit endowed Samson with extraordinary strength to enable him performs incredibly. But Samson misappropriated God's favor and became selfish in his motives. Gods plan was not only fully perfected in his ministry. You can do anything you want with God’s gift in your life. But one day you will be found guilty and accountable for all misdeeds.

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (12)

November 12  covenants your established sonship in Jesus Christ that  no devil can remove or take away from you. Keep it intact in Jesus Name...

The Holy Spirit in the Bible – DEUTERONOMY
34:9 “Now Joshua the son of Nun was full of the Spirit of wisdom (one of the gift of the Holy Spirit, 1 cor. 12:8) for Moses had his hands on him; so the children of Israel heeded him, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses.”

Let us take note of:- Moses laid his hands on Joshua (the Lord God instructed him, Num. 27:18).
-Joshua was full of the Spirit of wisdom.
-Israel heeded or obeyed him.
-And did according to Gods order to Moses.
Certainly, a careful study of these points must impress great lesson for us to learn about what the Holy Spirit can achieve in our lives and ministry.

Deuteronomy 34:9 is the only reference on the Holy Spirit in the book. Keep making reference to it; it will surely sustain your Holy Spirits occupied life. Amen.

EVERYDAY WITH WITH HOLY SPIRIT (11)

November 11, is another day for your faith to be highly lifted up. Believing the more can increase your knowledge of God's visitation in your life in Jesus Name...

The Holy Spirit in the Bible – NUMBERS
11:17   “Then I will come down and talk with you there, I will take of the Spirit that is upon you and will put the same upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, that you may not bear it yourself alone."

Numbers 11:25 “Then the Lord came down in the cloud and spoke to him, and took of the Spirit that was upon him, and placed the same upon the seventy elders… when the Spirit rested upon them, that they prophesied, although they never did so again."

God took of His Spirit that was upon Moses and put the same upon the seventy elders, this qualified the two ministers in the same office with Moses, so they shall bear the burden of the people with him.

You cannot be of legitimate help to anyone except by the Spirit of God whom He permits to rest upon you. Moses was over burdened by the responsibility over the people, so God heard their cry and responded by the special Holy Spirit’s work upon the elders.
May we allow the Lord God to equip us by His Holy Ghost empowerment so that we can effectively minister to the need of others, in the Name of Jesus. Amen!

Numbers 11:26 “… And the Spirit rested upon them. Now they were among those listed, but who had not gone out to the tabernacle, yet they prophesied in the camp …”
Numbers11:29 “…Oh that all the Lord's people were prophets then the Lord will put His Spirit upon them!"
What a great declaration by Prophet Moses, accredited to the Holy Ghost, guaranteeing effectiveness in every ministering gifts.

Numbers 24:2   “And Balaam raise his eyes, and saw Israel encamped according to their tribe; and the Spirit of God came upon him.”
Take a look at Gods people (His inheritance) with clean motives, the Spirit of God will certainly minister to us His message to them.

Numbers 27: 18 “And the Lord said to Moses:  take Joshua the son of Nun with you, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him.”
The process for succession in God’s work can only be well handled by the Holy Spirit's identification. Rule out human ability and politicking in God’s work.

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (10)

November 10, Reminds us of the exist of God's people from sinful captivity to the glorious liberty which no world system can provide. Church, be wise by the Holy Ghost in Jesus Name...

The Holy Spirit in the bible – EXODUS
28:3 “So you shall speak to all who are gifted in artisans, whom I have filled with the Spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garment, to consecrate him, that he may minister to me as a priest”.
God had to fill the gifted artisans with the Spirit of wisdom (one of the gift of the Holy Spirit in 1 Cor. 12:8) so that they would qualify as God’s artisans to do His appointed hand work upon His minister, the priest. As far as God is concerned, the artisan’s giftedness was null and void without the Holy Ghost. No matter what our peculiar human talent of giftedness, the Holy Spirit alone qualifies us to minister to the Lord. Let’s pray for the Holy Spirit touch upon our earthly human professionalism, so that we must fulfill God's purpose for our existence in the name of Jesus. Amen!

Exodus 31:3 “...and I have filled him with the Holy Spirit of God, in wisdom, understanding, in knowledge and all manner of workmanship." God called Bezalel the son of Uri by name and made him a Spirit filled craft man. See the blessing and gifts of the Holy Spirit upon him. We all need the same favor and Spirit's anointing to accomplish Gods purpose in our life time on earth. (See notes on Ex. 28:3)

Exodus 35:31 “And He has filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom and understanding, in knowledge and all manner of workmanship.” It is only by the Spirit of God that we are able to perform with divine efficacy, accuracy and precision from conception to finishing. (See above). And continue the reading from verse 31 to 35.

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (9)

November 9, Here is the account of the work of the Holy Spirit in Genesis; in the very beginning!

The Holy Spirit in the Bible – GENESIS
1:2 “The earth was without form and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters"  This is the way creation took place. God Himself had to acknowledge the role of His third personality to pave the way for His creation pronouncement in verse 2. God acknowledged Him, permitted Him to play His role and things worked out well. So we too must do!

Genesis 6:3 “And the Lord said, my Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years”
It was by His Spirit that God had to overlook the wickedness of man (vs. 5 -7). Mercy followed when Noah was identified as “found grace in the eyes of the Lord “(vs.8) therefore contention between God's Spirit and man had to be intervened with. We should also pray that no matter what our spiritual set back “let the Holy Spirit not strive with me in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Genesis 41:38 “And Pharaoh said to his servants, can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is in the Spirit of God?” This heathen king acknowledged that the potential abilities of Joseph were not unconnected with the indwelling performance of the Holy Spirit. And because of the irrevocable genuineness of the anointed result oriented ministry of Joseph, Pharaoh voluntarily relinquished his kingly position to him. (V 38-41). We must reign by the Holy Spirit indwelling presence in every facet of life in the name of Jesus.

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (8)

November 8, Amazing moment of Kingdom people getting the Master's Mystery to function in His Divine nature. Be constant in your Father's likeness in Jesus Name...

(Part of the Introduction of the book...)

The Return and Restoration
One day a pastor friend and I were studying about the Holy Spirit in the out skirt of Jos, Nigeria, the Holy Spirit referred me to Isaiah 40:10. “Behold, the Lord God shall come with a strong hand, and his arm shall rule for Him; behold, His reward is with Him, and His work is before Him”

This is the movement of divine intervention by experience ever known! Isaiah goes on in verse 11: “He will feed His flock like a shepherd, He will gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those who are with young”.

The sound of the trumpet is clearly blaring in the atmosphere (Joel 2:1, 15). “He, who has ears, let him hear what the spirit is saying to the churches” (Rev. 2:7, 11.17).
It is only with a spiritual hearing sensitivity that the church will return and be fully restored to God originality. Many have been stranded all ready for lack of such hearing sensitivity.

Because the Lord God Himself has decided to step into the matter by His supreme supervisory role, we are regaining our place fully in His kingdom business.

He is making us submit to Him and to quit the religious lifestyle that is without “the Way, Truth and the Life”, we are returning to not only the promise of the holy spirit (Joel 2:28-29¬) (for some of us) but the moment of the signs and wonders preceding the day of the Lord;(Joel 2:30-32); Hag.2:5-9; Heb 12:25-29).

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (7)

Take a look at what happens when the Holy Spirit is absent in the administration of God's Kingdom on Earth. Compare this list with what is going on in your church or ministry. If the Spirit of God is in charge, praise God. But if it is the contrary, then cry for  revival.

1.    Apostasy, Heresy, Falsehood and Counterfeit signs and wonders in the church. (Matt. 24:11).
2.    Strive and unhealthy competition for fame and popularity; thereby the struggle for high number of membership, wrong pursuit for prosperity or material possessions. (Matt. 23:5-7).
3.    Christianity becomes a religion without genuine accompanied power, thereby, making ministers to seek for powers from the devil. (1 Tim. 4:1-5, Acts 8:17-20).
4.    Human intellect begins to dominate the administration in the church. Incompetence, inadequacy and suspicion become very pronounced. (Ecc. 1:17-18, Prov. 3:5-6).
5.    Trying to apply human efforts, methods and approaches to combat sinfulness in the society. That is why we have church constitutions, rules and regulations used instead of the Bible e.g. on marriage issues, land disputes, caring for the needy: widows, orphans and the destitute.
6.    Ministers become blind shepherds leading the sheep astray and scattering them into the wilderness of sin, because they lack the Holy Ghost authority and direction to minister the truth (Jer. 23:1-6). They starve the flock and derive profit from their commitment.
7.    Ministers of the gospel strive for titles like, Rev/Dr/Bishop/Most/Right/Eminence etc. forgetting the ministry gifts of the Holy Ghost, (Eph. 4:11-12, Eph. 2:20-22).
8.    Ministries subject the church workers to their intimidating opinion or views, thereby making them to grow with inferiority complex rather than being set at liberty to discover more about the call of God upon their lives. So church workers also become personal house stewards, errand boys, body guards, personal assistants and secretaries etc. (Mark 10:43-44, Matt. 23:11-12).
9.    Ministers have made the merchandise of the olive oil, handkerchiefs, water and other items attaching false supernatural importance to its use. (Mark 6:13).
10. Ministers and believers in general have ungodly intentions in the work of God, trying to build empires around them, thereby creating divisions, tensions and confusion in the church of Jesus Christ. (1 Cor.1:10-16, Gal.1:6-9).
11. Because the Holy Spirit is not in control, crafty and worldly ideas are promoted to implement the programs of the church, e.g. entertainment (music), amusement, fashion parade, fund raising and gambling (Jn. 2:13-17).

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (5)

November 5, The Holy Spirit's voice and guidance should never be absent or lacking in the believer's life and ministry. Negligence had turned many into unfruitfulness and falsehood!

The Holy Spirit in the Bible – REVELATION
1:11 “I was in the Spirit on the Lords day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet.”Surely, the revelation of John was by the Holy Spirit. No one hears from God without His Spirit.

2:7 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches…”
(See also 2:7; 11, 17, 29, 3:6, 13, 22) The occurrences of the same warning by John show how significant it is to the church at all times. Note the rewards of those who overcome because of their heed over what the Holy Spirit is saying in some of the verses.

4:2 “Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.” Yes it is only when we are in the Spirit that we can see Christ on His throne and truly adores His majesty.

14:13 “… blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on! Yes says the Spirit that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.” “Yes”, says the Holy Ghost. He announces the blessings and the rest of the faithful one who died in the Lord. When you will be biding farewell to the world, will you hear the sound or the declaration of the Holy Spirit about your faithfulness in the Lord? Yes, make sure it is so in Jesus' name. Amen!

17:3 “So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy...” The angel can minister to us by the Holy Spirit and by the same Spirit we can see plans of the wicked and expose them to the glory of God in Jesus' Name.

21:10 “And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great mountain, and showed me the great city the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from Gog.”Another angelic transport by the Holy Spirit. The revelation of the Holy city from God. The kingdom of heaven can only be seen and entered by the Holy Spirit. (Jn. 3:3, 5). Let us not get unnecessarily busy for the kingdoms or the Fathers business without the Holy Spirit full participation; it is obviously a waste of time and futile exercise!

22:17 “And the Spirit and the bride say, 'Come! And let him who hears says, 'Come! And ' let him who thirst come. Whoever desires let him take the water of life freely.”
The last verse about the Holy Spirit in the entire Bible has this last message, the Holy Spirit and the bride (church) are now together making a passionate invitation to the listening ears of the end time and the thirsty for the water of life.

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (4)

November 4, All individual believers (born of God) are potential Kingdom sons and stewards; I command them to revive the corrupt and confused world system into God's beauty and glory in Jesus Name...

The Holy Spirit in the Bible – JUDE
v 19 “These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.
Those that cause dissension are without the Holy Ghost. Therefore those who have Him, promote unity.

Jude v20 “But you, beloved building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,”

Let the Holy Spirit take His rightful place in us for the last days great awakening in holiness, righteousness and Power in Jesus Mighty Name!

Thursday 2 November 2017

EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (3)

November 3 - The Holy Spirit should be God's anointed and powerful witness in every believer. Let the desire to attain and maintain Him become our topmost priority in Jesus Name...

The Holy Spirit in the Bible –
 1 JOHN
3:24 “Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.”
His indwelling presence is identified and acknowledged by the Holy Spirit in us.

1 John 4:2 “By this you know the Spirit of God: every Spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God.” (See contrast in the next verse 3).

1 John 4:13 “By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.”
1 John 5:6 “… And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.”
1 John 5:7 “For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.”

1 John 5:8 “And there are three who bear witness on earth, the spirit, the Water, and the Blood; and these three are one.”
Both on earth and heaven, the Holy Spirit bear witness.
