We were once in the thickest woods and mountain tops
striving for hideouts; frightened by the hostilities of tribal monopolies,
conflicts and wars.
At the dawn of civilization, those who were at the so-called
advantaged circles; the colonialists, religious jihadists and even missionaries
or Christian fundamentalists appeared with false hope.
Yet a greater dismal ensued with the arrival of independence;
the colonialists disappeared alongside the missionaries; giving a further
deception for self reliance and governance.
The indigenous setting was bound to historical influences rather
than engaging in personal potential initiatives and innovations. This was a dilemma
that continued and developed into an undefined Christian and political focus.
The amazing aspect of this drama is that the exploiters, extortioners
and the victimized alike had found themselves only as victims of Satan’s rule
and control. The only option left is that we cannot continue to disregard or
ignore is the invitation of our Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 11:28-30:
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and
I will give you rest. "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am
gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. "For My
yoke is easy and My burden is light."
Certainly, you must belong to an ethnic ancestry; and sure
we are all recounting our past with all the detestable and deplorable enhancements.
Let us never be ashamed to review our growth with a view to return to God and
find clear direction and definition of true focus by His Spirit in the Christ
Jesus!
