Luke 10:20 "Nevertheless do not rejoice in this,
that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are
written in heaven."
How many Christians in the church can of all certainty
declare their heavenly citizenship? I have asked a few believers of their
heavenly assurance; amazingly, many could not ascertain their faith assurance
of being heirs together with Jesus Christ after this earthly life.
Others responded like the heathen; the unbelievers or
religious people; they say “Only God knows who will go to heaven and those who
will go to hell!” Unfortunately, many church people with so much doubts claim
to be Christians, but without a very clear direction with regard to their
heavenly and eternal sojourn.
No wonder, Jesus Christ announced the end of many who may
defend their earthly Christian commitment on the day of judgment; Matthew
7:21-22 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the
kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many
will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name,
cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'
Let every Christian allow God supervise and evaluate our
Spiritual performances and let Him alone mark or grade our work; let us also
remain faithful to our personal callings according to scripture, for by this
alone, we can speak with every assurance and confidence about our heavenly and
eternal hope.
