The
words of our Lord Jesus to the ordinary mind are always unacceptable; but with
faith in the heart they are irresistible and can serve as a remedy to all
maladies of life.
“But
He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to
Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."

“Because
the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God,
nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.”
“But
you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells
in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.” Rom
8:7,8,9
"The
wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where
it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” Jn
