The
ministry of the Lord Jesus is evidently crucial and profound for all believers
to take serious. As a matter of serious concern; one wonders whether many professors
of the Christian faith will actually make heaven.
Jesus
Christ strongly urged us to deny ourselves, take up our cross to follow Him. He
also said, “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And
he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does
not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.” Mt 10:37,38
How
many of us had truly shown Jesus Christ love more than our fathers, mothers,
sons, daughters, business, leisure, and other attractions of the world? And who
among us had truly taken the cross to follow after Him? Can any of us truly
forsake what give us the most pleasures and conveniences for Christ’s sake?
Oh
Lord, be merciful to us and forgive us for running a self seeking life than
denying ourselves for the sake of Your kingdom mission on earth in Jesus’
Name...
