The Holy Spirit in the Bible – MARK
Most of the account of the gospel writers on the Holy Spirit bears the same message. It will not be necessary to comment on verses with such similarity. However the reader is advised to read through the verses without being bored, make it an interesting exercise!
Mark1:8 “I indeed baptize you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.” (Mathew 3:11).
Mark 1:10 “And immediately, coming up from the water, He saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending upon Him like a dove” Mark 1:12 “Immediately the Spirit drove Him into the wilderness.” (Mathew3:16 and 14).
Mark 3:29 “...but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit: never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation” (Mathew 12:28-32).
Mark 12:36 “For David himself said by the Holy Spirit: 'The Lord said to my Lord, sit at my right hand, till I make your enemies your footstool.” (Mathew 22:43).
Mark 13:11 “But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry before hand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.” (Mathew 10:20).
