EVERYDAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (13)

November 13, The Holy Spirit prompts all victories in our calling. We must intensify our desire to have Him carry out the work through us!

The Holy Spirit in the Bible – JUDGES
3:10   “The Spirit of the Lord came upon him (Othniel) and he judged Israel. He went out to war, and the Lord delivered Cushan-Rishathaim king of Mesopatamia into his hand: and his hand prevailed over Cushan-Rishathaim.”
For good judgment to Israel and great victory in war, Othniel relied on what the Holy Spirit could do in his life. We should imitate Othniel life style for good success in every area of our lives. Amen!

Judges 6:34 “but the Spirit of the Lord came upon Gideon; then he blew the trumpet and the Abiezrites gather behind him.” There was a great battle set by “the people of the East” (Vs. 33). Prompted and strengthened by the Spirit of the Lord, Gideon blew the trumpet, it sounded supernaturally that it gathered divine support behind him. Note the victory Gideon had over Midianites with only three hundred soldiers (judges 7). May we rely on the prompting and strength of the Holy Spirit to use any instrument (trumpet) of support against the enemies of our lives and calling. Amen.

Judges 11:29  "Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah, and he passed through Gilead and Manasseh, and passed through Mizpah of Gilead to advance toward the people of Ammon." Jephthah did not have to make a vow to the Lord (vs.30), after the Holy Spirit had come upon him to achieve Gods task before him. The tragic vow led to the loss of his only daughter. The Holy Spirit guarantees our victories, vows may not be necessary.

Judges 13:25 “And the Spirit of the Lord began to move upon him (Samson) at Mahaneh Dan between Zorah and Estaol.
Judges 14:5 “And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him (Samson), and he tore the lion apart as one would have torn apart a young goat, though he had nothing in his hand…”
Judges 14:19 “Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon him (Samson) mightily, and he went down to Ashkelon and killed thirty of their (philistines) men"
Judges 15:14 “…Then the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him (Samson); and the ropes that were on his arms became like flax that is burnt with fire, and his bonds broke loose from his hands…”

The Holy Spirit endowed Samson with extraordinary strength to enable him performs incredibly. But Samson misappropriated God's favor and became selfish in his motives. Gods plan was not only fully perfected in his ministry. You can do anything you want with God’s gift in your life. But one day you will be found guilty and accountable for all misdeeds.
