DECLINE OF CHRISTIANITY

Throughout history, the church in the bid to affect the world with unusual change; had been a big threat to all world systems; these include all scientific developments, civilization, world governments and so on and so forth.

This had caused serious persecutions and various confrontations against the faith. It is obvious that Christianity stands for God’s plan to humanity; and since its principles do not conform to the world’s arrangements, it is bound to face all the attacks for decades.

The devil is certainly conscious of what Christianity could do to abstract his wicked vices against humanity; he had to introduce strategies for battles against the church.

So much terrors and afflictions arose with surmountable forces against the church; these were intended to either slow down evangelism and church growth or to even stop and eliminate the entire church structure on earth.

Church history had revealed the decline of the Christian faith as a result of these satanic challenges. Someone once commented;   

“Ironically, it was the scientific and industrial advancements of the west that enabled the label of Christianity to spread, while nevertheless causing the substantive religion to shrink in significance.” 

Jesus also concluded as the prediction of what was coming; Matthew 24:12 “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.”

  

However, this is never the end of the matter; the church is now rising with so much strength than ever. We will consider more on this in the next post.
