MURMURINGS OR PRAYERS?

Prayer as a lifestyle does not wait for pressing instances. God is never waiting for only the trouble hearted to call on Him in prayer; He is interested in a lifestyle of worship, thanksgiving, glory, honor and praises at all times from all who believe in Him in Jesus Christ’s Name. And every other necessity of one’s cares will receive His appropriate attention.

If prayer does not take the above described turn, it becomes murmuring. Amazingly, God also hears and responds to or answers murmurings.

Exodus 16:11,12 “And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel…”

So the Lord gave them according to the travails of their murmurings instead of prayers of faith which is expected of His people. It was like answered prayer; but no, it was God’s response to a faithless complaining heart.

That is what praying amiss gives to unbelief. When one focuses on their troubles, enemies, misfortunes, sickness, setbacks, limitations etc, and relegate God’s ability to resolve all the fundamental issues of life, they end up collecting the bread of tears and sorrows.

Son and daughter of Heaven; be conversant with the laid down pattern of approaching the throne of grace with humility and faith; also with an upmost aim of giving glory to God rather than seeing Him and taking His Word or promises in bad light.

Psalms 78:29-31 “So they did eat, and were well filled: for he gave them their own desire; they were not estranged from their lust. But while their meat was yet in their mouths, the wrath of God came upon them, and slew the fattest of them, and smote down the chosen men of Israel.”

Let the will of God be done in your life and not your selfish desires that will never bring glory to Him!
